Rhonda
Dear x̌alilc Community,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! I hope your summer has included rest, fun, play, relaxation, and memory making!

I am so excited to be here and part of the x̌alilts Orca family and community! I moved to the island from Vancouver, WA where I have lived and raised my children for the last 28 years. I grew up in Bremerton and have really missed the Puget Sound and the sights, smells, and sounds of my youth.

I have been so impressed already with the x̌alilts community and staff and the support from the Bainbridge Island School District has been amazing! Everyone has been so welcoming and helpful. I will be sharing more about my journey back to the Puget Sound in upcoming weekly bulletins.

Speaking of our weekly bulletins, make sure you watch for them each Monday. We will highlight celebrations, things happening in our Orca community, upcoming events, and other important information.

I look forward to seeing you on August 30th at our back to school Open House from 9am-10am. I will be out and about wandering around the building. I can't wait to meet all of our Orca students!

Enjoy your weekend and the last few days of summer break.

Joyfully,

Principal Rhonda Walton
