Hello and welcome to a great new school year! My name is Kristin Collins and I am lucky to be your child's teacher. I have been teaching since 1998 in several local districts. You should know that I will do everything I can to make learning fun and to connect with you and your child! Our team will be working hard together to provide instruction and learning for all of our students.

To share a little bit about myself, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington (Go Huskies!) and my Master's in Teaching degree from Seattle University. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher, with a focus as a Middle Childhood Generalist (which means all subject areas for kids ages 7-12). My husband Sean also works on the island and we have a son, Luke (Yes, he is that tall!! Pushing 6'8"!), who is on the rowing team at the University of Washington. We also have a lacrosse-playing daughter, Eleanor, who recently graduated from college in Virginia. Finally, we have two puppies - Tucker is a Golden Retriever and Daisy is a Golden Retriever/Husky mix. In my spare time, I love to read, travel, go to the movies and theater, and sing second alto in the Bainbridge Chorale. I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this a memorable year full of great learning and fun!
