Hello!

I am Mrs. Darling, First Grade Teacher. I have been teaching at x̌alilc since 2006. I was a parent here prior to that. My children, Chris, Katy and Tim are now grown and I am a grandmother!

Teaching is a second career for me. I have an undergraduate degree in Business and received my Masters in Education. I am a National Board Certified Teacher. At x̌alilc, I've taught third grade, kindergarten and first grade. I love to learn, whether it’s taking a class through Park and Rec, a college, or just reading about new topics.

A hard question for me is, “Where are you from?” I was born in Ohio, and visit often, but have also lived in Chicago, Connecticut, New York, France and Florida and have family in many places. When I'm not teaching, you may see me walking my dogs with my husband Mark or at the playground with my grandkids. I love being with my family, spending time outdoors, reading, exploring new places, gardening, sports, cooking and a good laugh! I look forward to hearing your stories.
